Northern Ill. Huskies Basketball Fanatics

NIU shot just 30.2% in a 80-51 loss to the 6-0 Boise State Broncos. As the Huskies fell to 2-3, they were outplayed in virtually every facet of the game. Brian hall was able to put up 10 points, 3 rebounds, and for assists. La'Shard Anderson Put up 17 points, two steals, and a block in 30 minutes for the Broncos. The bright spot is the Huskies play the 1-4 DePaul Blue Demons in Rosemont on Wednesday.

The Huskies beat Maryland Eastern Shore 86-80 Wednesday afternoon. It is the Huskies' second straight win as the move to 2-2. UMES fell to 1-4 on the season. Xavier Silas had his second straight 34-point game and also had 6 rebounds and 3 three assists. NIU forward Tim Roler added 15 points. Dishawn Bradshaw led the Fightin' Hawks with 20 points and 4 assists. The Huskies are back in Dekalb on Monday to face the 3-0 Boise State Broncos.

The NIU Huskies won their first of the season 81-57 against the NAIA Cardinal Stritch Wolves. Xavier Silas put up 34 points and 4 boards but was the only Huskie to reach double-digits in any category. Brandon D'Amico lead the wolves with 15 points and made all 6 of his free throws. Up next the huskies go to Princess Anne, Maryland, to take on the Maryland Eastern Shore Hawks on Wednesday.

The NIU huskies will play the EMU Eagles in the first round of the MAC tourney. The Huskies are 1-1 vs. EMU this year. If the huskies take down the 6th seeded eagles they will play the 3rd seeded akron zips.
